Balancing Adjustments and a few other things

If there is one thing that really stands out to me right now as being a bit awkward, it's the balancing of certain aspects right now that make certain things, despite requiring less effort, feel less rewarding. 1. As mentioned already in other places, the Community aspect is currently really discouraging. I've only seen it completed once since joining and it getting so close the second time only to fail and then the number go up even higher the next day discouraged most people from even trying, let alone it being obvious to newer players. Similarly, the reward has to be manually claimed and that also isn't immediately clear. It'd be nice if the reward could just be mailed to players if they contributed, but also the numbers just really need to be redone and rather than it going up based on success, vary it based off how fast it gets completed if at all. Right now, it feels like it really needs to be lower. Similarly, making it so a reward is earned (or even a base reward that can upgrade like the recent mail quest prize did) each milestone would be a lot nicer rather than getting like 90% of the way, failing, and receiving nothing. 2. Exploring's rewards don't outweigh the costs. It's much faster, and more consistent, to just do playdates rather than bothering with Exploring to level. Even with 86%-96%+ success rates, I often find I fail more often than not. The Meadow is the only place that gives a better Experience rate than new playdates (At 6 experience per 1 Energy), but *only if you succeed in the first place*. The fact that even with such a high rate, I'm still rarely actually succeeding or getting much of anything just makes it feel less worth to bother outside of hoping to unlock a quest or working towards Eggs... which still gets discouraging with such a low drop rate. 3. Friendship is encouraged, yet incredibly costly to keep up with. The energy requirements go up so much as you become better friends and yet, outside of earning traits (if you even still need any), there is little benefit beyond the requirements for Exploration joining (3) and Whispering Woods (10)-- while boosts go up to friendship 50, the journey to get there is overly slow, especially considering you get no additional experience boosts despite the large amount of energy required at later friendship levels. 4. It'd be nice if it was possible to invite a player/Littlekin directly when wanting them to join their Littlekin on a journey. 5. Currently, only same pet playdates may spawn an Egg, but it'd be neat if Bred Pets (IE: Bloomgill is Bloom Bunny + Cloud Axolotl) had a chance to as well when played with a Bloom Bunny, Cloud Axolotl, or another bred pet with at least 1 matching part with maybe a 25%-33% chance of each (IE: Bloomgill with Bloom Bunny/Cloud Axolotl could spawn a Bloomgill Egg or one of the base ones or Bloomgill with Bloomtail could do one of those three or a Bloomtail).

What is the interest of totem? Or maybe we need a less chance of it happen ( 1%? Or fix a sucxess when 100 playdate ?)
Completely agree on all accounts! I suggested some changes to the friendship system in my thread for the exact same reason. Friendship just simply isn't worth it. In fact, I'm actively /avoiding/ interacting with friends as the extra energy cost really isn't worth the reward. You have to see a friend's littlekin on a journey to join them and that is SO RARE and even then, it barely helps. As for kindred (cross-breeds) there definitely needs to be more rewards for having them. Exploring rewards could also use a boost, very much agreed - I think a chance of a high value food or seeds would be especially helpful. However, even that needs thought as seeds become essentially useless when you have filled all your garden beds

I just think it'd be neat as an option due to how rare totems are in the first place. Eggs are already a lower chance so it'd be low regardless (and still could just be a normal egg vs a bred one).

Yeah. I wanted to at least get some up for Whispering Woods and things, but right now I'm holding off beyond 10 on anyone else (I'd like to get to 50 with some, but not until I level more since I can't make use of that right now). I initially thought a notification if a friend you have 3+ is exploring that someone could toggle, but I could see that being annoying which is why I suggested the invite feature, but yeah, I so rarely actually see friends exploring unfortunately so I can't even take advantage of our friend boost really :( I think just having them is kind of a reward in itself, but the limitedness of Totems is part of why I think it'd be neat if people could get Eggs that way too. Totems let you have more control over what you want, but it'd be nice to have more options. And yeah, I am not sure WHAT rewards I would suggest offhand. I filled my gardening beds, but I do think experience at minimum should be increased and I have mixed feelings on failures in general (as it already feels like one when you don't find anything).

Given how many Starwhisk eggs I've bred, it would be nice if there was a better way to get hybrid eggs from one of the other parent species. Because without that concept, it does make the hybrids out there now made from totems quite rare, but also difficult to attempt to get an egg, if you're littlekin is the only one of its kind. I've just been gifting my starwhisk eggs to random people cus I want to see more of those little guys out there.

Thank you for listening to all our suggestions <3 I will say one other thing I thought about: It'd be nice if our Littlekin could still recover their stats passively over time as well. I have a friend who lost internet for a couple of days and essentially ended up not being able to do anything when they finally got back which was discouraging. It'd be nice if Littlekin could still recover passively, even if fairly slow.
I feel like we should be able to have a friend's lists with other Caretakers or some easier way to make friends with them, besides through the littlekins. It would be a nice way to help newer players and remember who made a playdate with you, cus getting 50 notices of different playdates, it's hard for me to find the newer people I'd want to set up playdates with them back.
